I think the US Dems are more spread out across the Leftist Spectrum.

My theory is that the GOP invents these obviously fake issues to support their other less obvious activities that work against the people, but support the rich. Period.

And my opinion was validated when Ruth Ben-Ghiat, a scholar of fascism and authoritarian leaders at New York University, wrote in May 2024 that Project 2025 "is a plan for an authoritarian takeover of the United States that goes by a deceptively neutral name"

And why do I agree with this? Because TBH, here in Alberta, we also have a Far Right Government, Radical Religious and big biz suckups.

In 2012, their "egalitarian scholars" drafted up their own plan which actually goes further - eventual separation from the Commonwealth of Canada under an Authoritarian Government. And yes, fewer public schools, only private ones will be taught "real" topics/subjects. Public schools will be dumbed down to keep the masses at bay.

I have a copy of their "original" Party" plan, but the version put up onto their website omits a lot of details from the original - if only to make it more palatable. But it still is a concerning document.

PS. I'm loving what Putin, EU, Trump and MAGA are doing/saying WRT Ukraine, Russia admitting to assisting Trump on this election, and more.

Just how much is scripted between Putin and Trump, and how much is just Trumps incompetence, I'll never know, but I'm ROFLMFAO!

And the top 5 EU countries give the Finger to the USA - if the US doesn't like it, they can get out of NATO, get out of England/Germany/France/Italy while you're at it. Heck, even Poland is one of the "EU-Five".

I've chatted with family in Germany; they say Poland and a few other countries are getting really pissed at the next US government and their idiotic plans. Have not heard from relatives in Ukraine in a while.

Folks are fed-up with American Politicians, and they are pushing their governments to do something about it. This is probably just the first "anti-Putin" action, but definitely NOT the last.

I really hope America will survive the next 4 - 40 years. You used to be so much better.

On a 20pt scale, 10 either Lib or Dem, I actually am about 1.5 points to the Right of Center (In Canada, that's "Conservative" territory).

Doesn't mean I'm stupid. Just concerned for everyone else.
